Online Outreach and Marketing tips from the librarian in black

Just an FYI that Sarah Houghton-Jan of the Librarian in Black blog has made her recent presentation about Online Outreach and Marketing available here. It’s easily scannable and loaded with basic information about making your library available to your community, for example, simple things like making sure your library is reachable from a Google search, listing your library in Wikipedia, and finding out which community sites link to your library’s site (hopefully there will be many local sites that link to your website but this presentation will show you how to find out). There’s lots more but it’s a great summary of how to market your library and who wouldn’t be interested in doing just that?

All in all an excellent summary.
